Pros

The good thing about being in finance, is that everyone who walks through the door has already purchased a car. So half of the battle is done. Another nice thing is you don't have to do a lot of running around at the dealership, and you get a lot of respect for the position that you hold.

Cons

They say it's the best position to hold at the dealership. What they do not tell you is that it is a lot of grueling hours and overtime. However since you are technically 100% commission, you don't get paid overtime nor do they lunch yon on time, and I don't even know if they consider you exempt.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave such valuable feedback. We certainly hope you, and all our employees, feel appreciated for the hard work you do here at AutoNation. To that end we are absolutely supportive of a 40-hour work week and continue to explore ways to change the typical dealership employee experience, which, like in many retail positions, does come with long hours.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us; however, the bonus per car you describe is not consistent with our pay plan. Our Sales Associates are the backbone of this company and we strive to pay Sales Associates on a fair and competitive pay plan. We appreciate your contributions to AutoNation and encourage you to speak with your local HR team regarding your pay plan and/or pay concerns.
