Pros

Pay plan is super competitive.

Cons

Management has a tendency to blame-shift and finger point rather than accept any wrong doing.

Pros

High(ish) hourly pay rate dependent on experience

Cons

False advertising of benefits: - None of the insurance packages are company paid despite their job ads saying that they are. - The service vehicles are barren of tools, including diagnostic software needed to service several vehicles within the fleets. - There is no longer reimbursement for tuition or ASEs. -Safety equipment is not provided. -You receive very little in the way of uniforms. 4 shirts TOTAL, that can be either long sleeve or short sleeve. 0 bottoms. (It's a 5 day work schedule by the way.) When autonation bought out repairsmith they got rid of sick time and relegated everyone to the same PTO plan, within which you can only accrue 60 hours of PTO per year. That's well below industry standard. The dealership that the mobile service operates out of is so cheap that they have overflowing dumpsters basically weekly because they refuse to increase the pickup frequency. They just cut support staff in half, (no night manager, no night porter), meaning even more work necessary for the technicians. Everything falls at the feet of the technicians. Parts weren't packed correctly? "Well you should know to double check your parts before leaving the hub". Van doesn't have the tools you need to complete a job? "Well you should've checked to make sure you had the right tools before leaving the hub". If you bring any attention to lack of equipment you will be ignored UNLESS you say it in a way that's not palatable for upper management. The pay schedule is pure nonsense. Everywhere else is perfectly fine doing weekly or biweekly, but autonation insists on this bi monthly schedule which has confused or upset every coworker I've had at this job including myself. This entire outfit is an immensely disorganized mess.
