Pros

Great group of people to work with at my store. I've worked at the other stores and the people are not nearly as fun to work with.

Cons

The District managers are forced to make you sell items the customer really cannot afford nor need. I'm not going to lie to my customers.

The biggest downfall working for autozone is treatment by upper management. After that is the stupid cheer. I mean comon guys this is the most ridiculous thing that grown people could do! And now the company is getting into heavy micro management , how many kpi s can you force upon your managers ? I think this used to be a great company that is going to be ruined by corporate greed and stupidty! And now comes the kissing ass of stupid customers we can t win if you get a customer complaint, no matter how rude they are , they get a gift card and a discounted part how stupid is that? And lastly , the new greeting: what are you working on today that is the most assanine way to greet customers ,you would be surprised how the customers react to that stupid question! I think ceo bill roades needs to have his head examined for presenting that at the national sales meeting.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, they work around my school hours with no problem. Decent benefits. Good environment, overall a good place to work.

Cons

They focus too much on hammering customers with the "check out challenge" sales and attachment sales. Seems like pessure sales.
