Pros

Most people are willing to work with you to accomplish a common goal which would benefit the company. It can be a cheerful place to work when things are going well - especially when the stock price moves upward. If you get the right boss, you will do well. If you don't, you might as well look for another job.

Cons

Some upper management is disrespectful and sometimes outright rude. Some upper management level employees are not only deceitful, but should be demoted due to their inability to lead. Turnover in some departments is outrageous because of the lack of respect given to their subordinates. The cult like atomosphere is stifling to creative thinking. The slogans and cheer are just words, not followed by anyone with authority.

Pros

Middle to upper managment stock options and bonus program is pretty good. If you are only into money and can accept the "cult" like atmosphere, and dont care about people at a personal level then go for it.

Cons

I left approx 30K in bonus and stock options on the table when I quit. Who can sleep at night when you witness upper managment just treat people in a way as if they are not. "We have to meet the curve, so even though your employee has done a great job this year, you need to rate him as "needs improvement". The employee loses money just because corporate has to meet the curve on performance reviews. They keep management even though they intimidate and threaten physical violence on an employee, The reason why? The manager saves the company money. Its all about the money. The values posted all over the place are just words on a wall. If you want to join a cult join Autozone. Its actually scary seeing a couple of thousand people doing the AutoZone cheer over and over in the annual meeting in Memphis. Medical benefits are terrible.

Pros

Job security and vacation is fairly easy to take.

Cons

Corporate has no idea the level of crap that store employees experience. Regional staff cuts hours to fill their pockets. People are promoted and recognized based on who they know and DEI. They crack down on unnecessary metrics.
