Pros

Autodesk is a company with strong ethics, and an inspiring vision and mission. The company and most of the people who work for Autodesk seem to genuinely care about making the world a better place through intelligent design. Incredibly innovative and forward thinking in most business lines. CEO is responsive to staff, industry changes and market demands. Good benefits, but not the greatest & it will be increasingly difficult to retain talent as other tech companies double-down on benefits. Limited time off during the year is only (to some extent) supplemented by 6 week paid sabbatical every 4 years. Telecommuting / flexible work location for a lot of positions, which enables good work/life balance if you are diligent in playing your part to maintain balance (it is easy to work 24-7 & vacation days unless you go offline completely).

Cons

Many teams even within the same org operate in silos. Very little sharing or communication between groups. Few feedback mechanisms between product and delivery teams, unless forged by individuals ad hoc (with such communication supported by their managers). Constant changes in management and yearly reorgs cause instability and loss of momentum. Recovery periods from reorgs/management shifts are lengthy. For a tech company, internal processes & communication channels are very outdated. Stock prices have decreased dramatically, and so has a substantial part of employee savings. Surprisingly political once you scratch the surface (which helps explain the frequent reorgs).

Pros

Company's reputation and good products. Good if you are in the development team.

Cons

Leadership is focused on their own commissions at the cost of employee's well being Mediocre management in India t lack vision High attrition in India as manipulative management focus on divide and rule No freedom to work independently No career growth Autodesk US is completely different from Autodesk India. Don't get fooled!

Pros

Mature tech company so they are not crazy with the hours and have good processes in place for doing things and getting things done. Management is doing a good job of moving into the company to virtual space and staying very competitive.

Cons

Pace is getting faster and faster as Autodesk feels the need to innovate and keep current with virtual technology. They are trying to do so by outsourcing like crazy and keeping full time staff to a minimum, so work is getting faster and harder.
