Pros

State of the art software development environment. AutoSoft invests in the best software development tools and methodologies to optimize the productivity of the technical staff. Very high productivity rate. A lot of attention is paid to not developing technical debt. The code base is constantly refactored and always improving. The developer tool set is constantly evolving. A lot of opportunity to work with the latest in technology. Project planning is realistic and large amount of overtime common in many other shops is not required to succeed here.

Cons

West Middlesex is a friendly small town atmosphere. Many employees commute in from other larger surrounding areas. If you are coming from a larger city you may have a longer commute or find the area a bit lacking in excitement or variety of things to do in your off hours. The housing market is more reasonable here than the larger surrounding cities but nicer rental apartments are more difficult to find and you could find yourself on a waiting list for several months waiting for a higher end apartment.

Pros

Exceptional co-workers and executive management team. Everyone is treated with respect and value. They understand great ideas can come from anywhere. They encourage and provide work and family balance. Company is in a innovation and growth mode so it is an exciting environment to be in, when there is a win - the whole company shares in the accomplishment.

Cons

Salaries are not on par with larger companies in this space---yet, but the benefits are excellent and the work environment and "feeling like you matter" out weigh the small difference in salary.

Pros

The people, atmosphere, product and family life balance are FANTASTIC. This is a fast moving/growing company. The management team is engaged with their staff and everyone has a solid focus to grow the company. I am excited to see where Autosoft is this time next year. The tools you need for your job are readily available. Just ask for something and you shall receive. New technology is just a common factor here!

Cons

This is really not a con, but some of the teams are so new and haven't worked together very long it is hard to find your groove. This will all come with time. I feel like they really look for the best of the best during the hiring process.
