      Pros

      Coworkers are very helpful and easy to work with. The facility looks nice. I don't have anything else good to say....

      Cons

      Staffing shortage, scheduling changes on short notice with no communication, traning was cut in half of what I told I would get, never have the right supplies. This company runs at the bare minimum staff, and there is absolutely no communication between floor staff and upper management. I would highly recommend not working here.

      Pros

      Coworkers who ignore the lack of recognition and respect and still take awesome care of our residents as a team.

      Cons

      The company has lofty core values but our upper and regional management do not base their actions on these values. We have many quality initiatives with shiny promotional materials but no practical training or guidance and no follow up. We lack definitive policies and procedures and we receive conflicting instructions at every turn. In our facility we have a lack of respect for all employees. The DNS and ED see everyone as subordinate.

      Pros

      It's rewarding to work with the geriatric population. As for pros specific to Avamere, I honestly cannot think of any.

      Cons

      Overworked. Can't clock out for lunch breaks without residents not getting cared for/receiving meds on time. Unprofessional staff and coworkers. Terrible pay. Unhealthy work environment.
