Pros

The staff were mostly pleasant though there was a mass exodus of experienced nurses when I began. The facility was clean. There was an effort by management to offer fun events like birthday celebrations and games and cash incentives for attending staff meetings. It seems that the CNA: patient ratio is good.

Cons

The workload is too heavy and requires a "drive-by" nursing approach, short-cuts that are technically not legal, or that the interventions ordered just don't get done. The environment feels very unsupportive to nurses.

Pros

- Incredibly flexible scheduling - Overtime is always a possibility - Great experience if you choose to pursue further education - Easy and non-hassling requests for time off - Incredibly high job security - Clean facility - Respectful nurses

Cons

- Constant staffing issues (namely: call-ins) - Pay is mediocre in comparison to other facilities - Due to the nature of the job, advancement opportunities don't really exist
