All Around Unethical Work Practices
Pros
Their reasoning for not letting me schedule off for my own wedding was BOTH, "they won't let us change the time off pool" and "you should have requested off earlier" Oh wait, these are cons. I no longer have pros.
Cons
I was pretty much in what felt like an abusive relationship with the company. I had started and everything was very good for a few years, until VWR got bought out by Avantor. Customer service became corporate and their practices included 'monthly' (inconsistent) one on ones in which they would tell me I'm doing great, keep doing what I'm doing, but a week or two later, they would show me a recording of myself that was 2 months old supposedly doing something wrong (most recently, and my offense was "taking notes incorrectly," because apparently, I wasn't supposed to be using a pen and paper or Microsoft OneNote) None of these things were ever mentioned until I was getting bullied monthly by leadership threatening to fire me. I told them to do it because I knew they were trying to get me to quit so they didn't have to pay out unemployment. Took a week and two days of no contact, working every day not knowing if I should be looking for a new way to make an income.
