Although Avery is wide known and considered to be a prosperous place to work, since the pandemic a lot has changed. They’ve gone from 8 hour shifts to twelve hour 4 days off 4 days on, running wages of 48 hour and 36 hour payrolls. They’ve cut back on the overtime tremendously so we’ve gone from making an average of $750 a week to $450 sometimes less depending on the 4 weeks of 48 vs 36 hour payroll. They’ve cutback on labor cost but have driven the workload to 24/7 over 4 different shifts so we’re working more for less money. As far as new hires we're required to train them up to speed with no compensation as promised. Promotions are given with no pay due to faulty stipulations based off being told job knowledge first play a factor in raises or promotions as if working 6pm til 6am is a privilege to compensate for same pay. So much had changed in this small amount of time and it’s caused a true lack of motivation for veteran employees including myself.
