Good people. Senior management is mostly comprised of long term employees which reinforces that Avnet really is a nice place to work.

Cons

Siloed organization with poor operational discipline. Too many ineffective and disruptive organizational changes which shuffle poeple without fixing the real, structural problems. People are often promoted without formal job postings as a result of these restructures. Some people benefit simply by being in the right place at the right time.

Good environment, a lot of smart and talented people, good management, good benefits. Employees are treated with respect.

Cons

No opportunities for advancement for engineers. A lot of bureaucracy. Too much focus on following procedures. Things are changing slow.
