Decent training opportunities, exposure to the Tech business.

Cons

Management was numb to how hard you worked, just wanted to work you harder. This place is all about the bottom line profit, under the guise of work life balance. Not many highly skilled people working there, kind of middle of road drones working for a paycheck. If you like cronyism, this is the place for you.

Average holiday/PTO schedule. Good industry to get experience and network. Decent work/life balance when fully staffed.

Cons

Under industry average for salary. Poor raises. Extremely poor benefits (no matching in 401k). Constant people leaving company.

Great individual contributors who work hard.

Cons

Revolving door management that clear the decks to bring in their friends / peers who know nothing about the business or customers. They stay for a year or so, move on and the cycle starts over. Avnet has been in this rut for four years and lost hundreds of customers and employees (quarterly RIFs). Continuous moving activity offshore.
