Pros
Avnet is actively involved in further education. The benefits the offer for school reimbursement are decent (would not cover university costs, but for community college it is more than adequate.) Decent pay. A lot of people whom work at this place are happy and nice people. The Engineering team is flexible on which hours are worked, and you can work from home sometimes
Cons
Hours can get ridiculousness. They can spike and remain in the "spiked" level for a whole quarter at a time. Micro managing happens often. They set goals for things other than revenue, and whenever you try to set time aside to hit these goals the time often gets reassigned to a revenue generating project. This causes goals to be unmet at the end of the year that you are held accountable for. The training is lack-luster for on the job duties and the current training is outdated.
