Pros

Great work & life balance. Great benefits and people are treated with respect. One of the few companies out there that offers flex work schedule.

Cons

There has been a few programs being cut since I started. It is up to the individuals to explore other areas to find work.

Good people to work with. Challenging and rewarding work. You are allowed some latitude to creatively resolve issues. Work is generally steady.

Cons

There are few downsides of working at BAE Systems. Some schedule pressures caused by unanticipated problems. Some communications issues.

Pros

BAE has name recognition and above average salaries. It provides above average perks like stocked kitchens, and fair travel policies.

Cons

The management seems to have difficulty in seeing the longterm picture. Perhaps their bonuses are tied to closely to near term goals. In many divisions, non-Brits need not apply. This is a British company through and through - it is certainly not a "global" one.
