Pros

BB&T is a financially secure institution and thus far has weathered the economic storm welll. BB&T is a large regional bank but (for the most part) is run like a community bank. This allows the leadership for each region to have some input on how their region is managed. BB&T has strong core values including honesty, integrity, productivity, team work, independant thinking, pride, justice, reason, self esteem and pride. BB&T uses it's core values to guide their everyday relationships with clients and employees. It is definately the most ethical organization that I have ever worked. The CEO takes the time to vist each region quarterly and update its employees on BB&T's past successes and where it sees the future of BB&T.

Cons

Sometimes it seems that manangement doesn't value employees that aren't in a direct "sales" role.
