Pros

Benefits are very good, including health, dental, 401K, pension. Education is promoted, but only for things that will make $$ for BB&T.

Cons

Benefits keep you "hooked" whether you want to stay in your current job or not! Profits, trips, etc., earned in each office all go to corporate execs and stockholders, not shared at local level fairly. Furniture, equipment is out of date and worn, offices are in less desirable and unsafe part of city. "Safe & Secure" corporate policy is a joke when desk drawers are so old they won't even lock anymore! Everyone who has left employment in past 7-8 years knows the security code to gain entry into our office.

Pros

Co paid benefits are excellent and inexpensive, including company-funded pension plan. Vacation and holidays and adequate and comparable to other large employers.

Cons

Unreasonable workloads; overtime is rewarded with even more work but no overtime compensation. Management demands reduced staff keep up with "service standards" and new business, including endless meetings to discuss how to increase revenue for BB&T. After working for a year, the most raise anyone can expect as a top performer is still only 2%. Current employees work in fear of disapproval of management and are afraid to speak up and say what they think. When an employee leaves, management puts them down to remaining workers on a regular basis.

Pros

Good Benefits at a good cost

Cons

Work load too heavy.....employees were expected to keep up with normal workload as well as employee shortages and new growth.
