Pros

If you are lucky enough to be placed on a great team, work will be fun... If you don't get laid off.

Cons

They say there's a bonus structure but no one outside of the sales team EVER actually received one. Pay is low vs other companies. During my time at BDA, the first year was great. I loved my team, worked hard, and completely enjoyed what I did. Then things started to turn around. Support from upper management went downhill. They started spending way too much money on unimportant new projects that never succeeded, worthless booze fueled parties, and other non essential needs for the company. The owners seem to run around clueless about how a business should be run and take advice from others who are in the same boat. They have no direction or clue or plan and their strategies change day by day. Proof this is true: they won't even email org charts because "it's our policy." C'mon. Tell us the truth - you have NO idea what you're doing. Owners also say they have an open door policy but this is very clearly not true because they get defensive when an employee has a suggestion. For this company to survive they need to stop spending money on worthless things, start putting a commitment into their employees, and hire a consultant to help them learn how to run a business. So glad I'm out of this toxic environment!!!!!

Pros

Great people, fantastic clients, fun company events

Cons

Unfortunately, the company is a disorganized mess. Management ranges between below par and atrocious. Policies, procedures and operations plans are not completely thought out and vetted, which results in mistakes and double or triple work to get things right. In addition, technology, work tools and training are abysmal. Bonus plans are either non-existent for some employees or unrealistic carrots for others. Common complaint among employees is that the company uses every trick to avoid paying bonuses or to minimize the payouts. It also seems the company is having financial issues, which has turned a bad situation even worse.

Pros

Great people and a great opportunity for many to get experience working with big Fortune 100 clients.

Cons

Company will chew you up and spit you out once they are done with you. Layoffs are very common. This has nothing to do with performance. I won awards and was nominated for employee of the year. The fraternal comments are completely true. You either drink the kool aid or you are out. Bonuses are presented as part of a hiring package and then they are non-existent. Medical benefits are the worst I have ever seen if you are married with kids. Plan to spend what you would if you were self-insured. The talk a big talk but they don't back it up. I don't think the owners even believe what they are preaching anymore about this company being about respect and family. This company lacks real LEADERSHIP. No real STRATEGY. It changes on a daily basis. A real shame as this company had the potential to be great.
