Pros

With an unmatched culture of inclusion and respect, working at BECU feels like you are part of a family. Work/life balance is a priority with BECU. The company offers great incentives and full benefits, even for part time employees. In addition to the important benefits, there are some fun ones, too. For example, BECU will pay up to $20/mo towards your gym/fitness membership, and they give you between $400-$600 for personal health items: Hiking, bowling, running, yoga, massages, kayaking etc. There is a long list. In addition, I love working for this company because they have an active part in bettering the financial health of members in our communities, which is something that I am passionate about.

Cons

If you are interested in working for this company, I encourage you to be patient. There is a long interview/hiring process , especially if you are not being referred by somebody in the company. Once you are hired for a position, or promoted to a new position, you must remain in that position for a minimum of 1 year before you can move up. The year does go by very fast and you will learn a lot, so I do not consider it wasted time.

Pros

Absolutely work-life balance, great people helping the great community. NO Harsh push on sales, but goals are backed up by great company reputation. Proper trainings provided, diversified team, good leadership within WA, local, highly recommended if you want to start your banking career but have no idea to start with. As long as you shows your passion and willingness to learn, you're in!

Cons

Strict HR rules on internal transfers or promotions. No for people looking for large commission payout
