Authentic Commitment to Values

Pros

Every person I've worked with is authentically aligned to BECU's values, from the CEO to the member consultants.

Cons

Occasional struggles to balance tradition against innovation. Strong history and many long-tenured employees means change can be slow. But that can be both a blessing and a curse.

Pros

The management team is extremely supportive and accommodating. The company as a whole is very receptive to new ideas about addressing pain points and plans of action to overcome them. If you’re able to take your eyes OFF OF YOURSELF by positively and proactively adding value, holistically, you will find VALUE in what YOU do here.

Cons

No real cons-the company continues to implement and innovative ideas to improve and grow. Employees who are stagnant and complacent wither and whimper at the sight of the discomfort and pain of change. We need to implement a mindset system that will get everyone fired up before the fall of the positive energy wave plummets.

Great Company!

Pros

Great benefits, inclusive and inviting culture, good PTO, reasonable health benefits, great that they have 401k and pension (vested at 5 years), opportunities for growth, happy environment, great training/onboarding, great member benefits/products you can believe in that make it easy to offer to members.

Cons

Outdated systems, fast growing membership base-but not expanding branches/atms quick enough to keep up. Poor paternity/maternity leave (just the normal short term disability for 6 weeks which is 60% of normal pay and then FMLA-only paid if you have PTO to use)
