Pros

A lot of locations to work at and pretty good health insurance (for single people with no dependents).

Cons

Compensation is horrible and when the cost of living is increasing the pay does not. Does not work with individuals that move far from their current location and helping them get a position close to home. The hours on the front line does not work well with an individual whom has children in daycare and doesn't care that a parent can't keep their child in daycare for more than 10 hours a day. If a person wants to transfer HR doesn't help or listen to their employees in regards to their needs. Instead they would rather lose good hardworking employees (high turn-over rate) and hire individuals that don't have experience or care what image they bring to the CU. I have seen retaliation and discrimination towards employees that stand up for themselves or bring attention to an issue.

Pros

Good work schedule, people are generally friendly, good support for continuing education. Gary Oakland (CEO) is a wonderful man.

Cons

Upper management has a serious problem with some of line managers' actions and treatment of their employees that have led to higher-than-normal turnover in the rest of the organization, yet refuse to kick them out the door. Performance feedback (which influences how much of an annual bonus you get) varies highly based on the department you're in. Some departments have people you've never worked with rate you, which is obviously based on their impression of you (or what they've heard). Maturity level of staff can also vary widely based on the area you're in...go in with caution.

Pros

Benefits, work from home, remote

Cons

Management is horrible they micromanage you. The position is not work life balance. You have so much much work that it is stressful. In my 22 years in banking I never been at a company bad as this one. Management lies on you.
