      Pros

      Some very bright consultants and engineers. Handful of competent business folks.

      Cons

      They belong to Bain Capital. Poor executive management. Sweat-shop workload. Poor corporate culture perpetuating low morale among workforce. Its all about the bottom-line for BMC HQ Crappy product "integrations" Quarterly re-organizations (i.e., went through 7 "supervisors" of whom I met only one) Employees treated like TP Overseas resources treated like used TP

      This company under the leadership of the current CEO has spiraled constantly downward, the last large Reduction in Force followed by the recent announcement of the deferment of merit increases is a slap in the face to the workforce as they, at the same time see the executive leadership team stick their noses in the trough. KKR must be scrambling now on how to get their investment back and offload the company, Advice for anyone thinking of joining this company ... don't

      The products are interesting to work on.

      Cons

      Senior management is stuck in the 90s. Buy a company, send the work to India. Lots of acronym soup in all hands meetings that don't really translate into how employees can make a different. Many fight the transition to Scrum. Internal IT is outsourced (this is crazy), so they tend to pile on as many "security" tools as possible, leading to lots of conflicts, delays in getting issues resolved, etc.
