      Good people, products lagging

      Pros

      Good culture. Friendly people. Salary and benefits have been good. Good flexibility in meeting work-life balance. Company hopes to IPO or be sold to some other company in the next couple of years and could lead to financial upside.

      Cons

      The business is heavily dependent on mainframe, Remedy and Control-M. We are trying to pivot to new technologies but in the process have been loosing sellers, making it hard to meet targets. Concern that owner's exit strategy could put a strain on people and culture pre and post transaction.

      Doesn't Recommend Negative Outlook Approves of CEO I have been working at BMC Software full-time (More than 3 years) Pros -Strong salary and sales commission options -100% Club trip -Great health benefits

      Cons

      -Promotion decisions have become a popularity contest. Performance and experience are not considered at all. -Only thing that matters is making your quota (by any means necessary) -Investment in the department has dropped significantly. -Turnover is extremely high

      Nice Office. Excellent pay.

      Cons

      Horrible, horrible abusive culture. I could not get out fast enough. Pay is high for a reason. Managers bully and threaten employees into submission. Everyone is paranoid.
