      Good people, good pay, good products with weak integration, need lots of Services to install, lack SaaS offerings

      Good, people Good benefits. Competitive pay package Good products. Remedy, Bladelogic, Real Ops, Choradiant, Neptuny, ... Good territories still available Good sales training and product training

      Cons

      High sales turnover Good Products but not integrated so must sell lots of services to implement software Lack SaaS offerings so get beat by SaaS competitors Poor communication in company, especially between Services, Sales, Support, Product, Weak customer support Difficult to process orders

      Great software company, but limited innovation

      Pros

      Great people who work at BMC and a good portfolio of software to work with. Good balance of life and work. Get to solve interesting challenges for customers. The software is not tied to specific hardware or closed environments.

      Cons

      Middle management is always getting in the way. Software can be too complex or not very well integrated at first. It's a big company that still thinks its a small company at times, but lacks the innovation of a smaller firm. Too many useless acquisitions that go by the wayside before they are integrated with the existing offerings.

      The "Blade Brigade" made it miserable.

      Pros

      The company offers good pay and reasonable benefits. The work environment is generally stable because the company is financially healthy.

      Cons

      The Blade Logic management team took over the company and implemented a fear and intimidation culture. CEO seemed to let them do whatever they wanted to whomever they wanted.
