Pros

Gaming experience and 4 week vacation.

Cons

Low pay – They pay less compared to other companies for all job titles – test engineer, senior test engineer, manager, director, senior director, etc High turnaround – employees usually stay for 6 months or 1 year and move on to a different company due to low pay, organizational instability, toxic work environment, poor management, stress, poor work life balance and poor work place culture. Frequent layoffs – layoffs are common since the company doesn’t have a good market share with stable gaming suppliers. They mostly cater to small gaming companies who are already in financial distress. Few big gaming companies give some left over work to keep the relationship with the lab. And that’s barely enough to keep the business running. You will get unfit, unqualified managers who lack management experience due to extremely high employee turnaround and low pay. They are constantly understaffed. They hire engineers with no experience for low pay. As a result their service lacks quality, accuracy and so many other factors a business needs to be successful. There is no overtime pay. They give PTO in exchange for the overtime. Since they are understaffed you won’t get a time to use your PTO. It will end up getting wasted at the end of the year. No bonus or yearly salary increases to keep up with inflation. Company doesn’t have money to invest in software and office equipment. They use buggy in house software or Microsoft office for everything. You will have to do everything legacy/manual way when other companies do the same thing with software. You will not get employee training. This is mostly due to company being understaffed, high turn around and lacking engineers who know what they are doing. This Company has a lot off issues and I would stay away from it if possible. It will save you a lot of headache.

Pros

- We get banana bread sometimes I guess. - Good exposure to different areas of gaming. - Flexible PTO and Sick Time.

Cons

This has got to be the worst company I have ever, and will ever work at. Coming from the 'Record breaking profits ' that we seem to make EVERY YEAR. The pay is minimal, raises are scarce. As a matter of fact, good luck getting a raise based on actual performance... If they aren't already late on giving those they will probably be 1%-5% at that. This company recruits college graduates and milks them dry until they can cycle back to another round of new hires who just need a job. You will be buried in 'billables', stressing every single day on how you can fill out your 8 hour time sheet accurately. And heavens forbid you have a single hour that is billed to bmm and not the client, you will be interrogated like you committed murder. To top that off. the processes at bmm are horrible, They change almost weekly, and there is always some kind of new issue that slows work down. The horrible CEO, has made promise after promise after promise of some kind of positive change to the company and in all my time working there, not a single one was fulfilled. bmm loves to let clients walk all over the engineering teams as well, in the name of one upping our competitors and turning a profit of course. The client is always right, and you are always wrong. Don't expect any of the C suite to stand up for these teams either, they usually bend to any clients demands and just make things worse. I watched the work culture here go from great to absolutely abysmal. There is no work culture anymore. I am not even going to bother to explain what poor excuse for work culture this company has. This review has been enough of my time wasted on this abysmal place. Don't work here.

Pros

Pros: - People you meet are great -Work and life balance are great -Group Managers are great and very understanding.

Cons

Im going to speak my God and honest truth about this. BMM’s management and higher ups does not care about engineers. He only takes care of the marketing side or the business side. The company truly forget that the core of the business are the engineers without them the company has nothing to offer, or sell to their customers. Trust me I’ve worked here long enough to find out all of this the hard way. Cons: - Test engineers are often over worked due to lack of staff, or unreachable deadlines. - Do not expect a raise, or any promotion this only happens when they are desperate to keep someone from leaving. - Company is very disorganized , you will spend the whole day trying to figure out who to talk to just figure out an issue. -Be prepared to figure things out yourself , managers or higher ups often don’t know what to do or how to test stuff so you will need to rely on clients training and paperwork to get through a project. - Business developer who are supposed to be handling clients are usually not helpful. Test engineers or managers would often have to deal with clients business relations instead of them. -Do not expect any help from higher ups if there’s an issue with a client they will just tell you to “figure it out”. -You will see plenty of people leave BMM from the years I’ve worked there we lost about 4-5 people every year. -If you are in Las Vegas expect more work because they often send work from other BMM branches because they either do not know how to test it there ,or not wanting to ship hardware and software. -They do not offer incentives for working longer hours or, coming for extra shift they will offer “DTO” which is basically PTO that you can use to regain your day off, or to regain the extra hours you worked.
