Pros

Gaming experience and 4 week vacation.

Cons

Low pay – They pay less compared to other companies for all job titles – test engineer, senior test engineer, manager, director, senior director, etc High turnaround – employees usually stay for 6 months or 1 year and move on to a different company due to low pay, organizational instability, toxic work environment, poor management, stress, poor work life balance and poor work place culture. Frequent layoffs – layoffs are common since the company doesn’t have a good market share with stable gaming suppliers. They mostly cater to small gaming companies who are already in financial distress. Few big gaming companies give some left over work to keep the relationship with the lab. And that’s barely enough to keep the business running. You will get unfit, unqualified managers who lack management experience due to extremely high employee turnaround and low pay. They are constantly understaffed. They hire engineers with no experience for low pay. As a result their service lacks quality, accuracy and so many other factors a business needs to be successful. There is no overtime pay. They give PTO in exchange for the overtime. Since they are understaffed you won’t get a time to use your PTO. It will end up getting wasted at the end of the year. No bonus or yearly salary increases to keep up with inflation. Company doesn’t have money to invest in software and office equipment. They use buggy in house software or Microsoft office for everything. You will have to do everything legacy/manual way when other companies do the same thing with software. You will not get employee training. This is mostly due to company being understaffed, high turn around and lacking engineers who know what they are doing. This Company has a lot off issues and I would stay away from it if possible. It will save you a lot of headache.

Pros

The difference is in the people. The engineers are fantastic, CEO is fantastic, some of the managers and other people in the other departments are great.

Cons

Project office people in the Las Vegas office are not so great. Very demeaning. Being bullied and micromanaged with your everyday work really brings down your morale. The pay is mediocre and not worth the amount of work you put in. You cannot bring up concerns with anyone as you shouldn't trust the company anyway.

We sincerely regret that your experience as a BMM team member is less than favorable. At BMM, we have a zero-tolerance policy against harassment, bullying, and discrimination. All allegations are taken seriously and handled confidentially and empathetically. We encourage you to speak to your Manager or HR representative about your concerns. If you do not feel comfortable speaking with either, then please raise your concerns with your department head or any BMM executive. We want our team members to feel safe, happy, engaged and valued in a way that makes you realize that the work you are doing is important and meaningful. We strive for each Project Office team member to feel part of the team and to know that your concerns are acknowledged and addressed. There is a great deal of positive change happening at all levels of the company, and we assure you there are many people willing to listen to your concerns.

Pros

Lots and lots of exposure to many gaming clients 401k match up to 4% Test engineers and group managers really helpful and friendly will go out of their way to help you out Paid time off is 20 days a year regardless of years with company You can gain experience quickly 3-4 years and move out to better company like I did

Cons

Billable - This is the bread and butter of this company (if you don't have billable to charge client you are screwed) BMM = Billable Matters Most Upper management keeps changing the rules on certification reports for our clients Too many chiefs (Director of this Director of that, etc) One person in HR (makeshift HR) Starting pay salary is way below average between 30k-40k Overall stay away from this company since raises are less than 1% Retention ratio is very poor, generally people just stay for 6 months and move on to other companies
