      Pros

      Feeling appreciated by evey company official. The train load of time off with family. Waiting till last minute to layoff. Pooping on 2nd motor. Waiting hours and hours for a bus ride home. Taking pictures of other train while on a train.

      Time off. Respect from company. Dying years early from lack of sleep and diet. Company's management of everything. Hotels. Trainmasters. President. C.E.O Investigations. Pooping on 2nd motor.

      Pros

      money, benefits (although fading), and they are considering a new attendance policy for those who work 24/7 on the trains so you will not have a life much at all if that happens.

      Cons

      Management is cutthroat and out to get you for anything they can, BNSF constantly steals wages from employees, has a high turnover rate anymore because no one wants to put up with the cutthroat atmosphere on top of the wages they steal and how you are not home much. It is recommended that you get job Insurance once hired and out of probation because they will suspend people left and right the micromanagement is insane. Technology and Precision Scheduled Railroading is eliminating jobs left and right, they just hire short term to get a tax break and so that the STB gets off of them about man power issues. Just do yourself and anyone you know a favor spread the word this place is toxic and just not worth it.

      Pros

      Health insurance is pretty good, the pay is good.

      Cons

      Management is beyond terrible, the only reason we are paid well is because of the abusrd hours and days we work. The Company truly gives the impression they don't care, and Management enforces that mentality. They promote a mentality of trying to fire you after you are hired. Every policy they have enacted has only been detrimental to the employees in the ty&e craft and their quality of life. There is almost no path to promotions, due to the company not being fond of promoting union employees.
