Pros

Good benefits for 401 comp match, vacation time and additional vacation week purchase, good sick pay hours, good disability coverage, good maternity coverage. They are remote right now so in that aspect they care about safety of employees.

Cons

They do not pay enough for the job they expect. They change the title of your job to fit the pay they want to give, so that they can " claim " we are paid well within the area for a representative but that's not the job we do it is way more. Pile on the work, no solid tools to do the job they expect for the volumes. They claim to care about your health and wellness and give superficial class offerings, but the work volumes and demands are so high there is not enough time in the day to get it all done. Not to mention newer employees get bumps up due to get to the position requirements for pay per NYS, but the loyal employees over that bump with the skills get nothing extra. Company is making money no bonuses for all that are below high level mgr.

Not good for a long-term career

Pros

Good work-life balance. Not overly demanding. Laid back culture. People care or at least pretend to care about their teams and co-workers. Managers are generally pretty protective of their teams when it comes to workplace politics and other issues. Senior leadership was for the most part understanding of the impact of Covid on employees. Good brand name to work at. Cares about diversity and inclusion.

Cons

Incredibly low salaries compared to any other bank (by a significant margin, 50% in some cases), and the annual pay raises of 0-1% don't even keep up with inflation so you effectively deteriorate your earnings the longer you stay here. This is true across departments and teams. I put up with this for years but when I finally resigned due to persistently low salary, I was first offered a pay raise and promotion to stay, which was nice, but after I turned that down, my group MD insulted and threatened me and used scare tactics to attempt to convince me not to resign...

Pros

Honestly not many. Stable and reasonable pay

Cons

There is such a thing as 'too big'. The company is completely disorganized, and between people leaving the company and sending the work offshores no one is sure who's responsibility is what anymore. Big 'pass the buck' mentality where if there's a problem the departments spin in circles pointing fingers at who to blame, without offering any help. Avoid if you can. Every person I know in the company is looking for a way out of it.
