Pros

There are no positives to report. I met some nice people. I met many not nice people.

Cons

This is a story of trust and betrayal. I was offered the role, I was very excited. I turned down three other offers and moved my family from the Midwest. Upon arrival, I was told the VP who hired me had left the week before. Then I learned that my salary was not as promised. Since then, I have watched 6 new VPs go as quickly as they arrived. I have had 3 VPs of design in 18 months. If you are a researcher, I would look elsewhere. It is really toxic

However, we would like to address some of your comments with the following: According to the latest statistics (provided by LinkedIn), tech companies have the highest rate of turnover of any industry. We are very proud that here at BOLD, our employees stay longer than the industry average of 1.8 years and continually report on the great work/life balance, perks, and culture they enjoy here at BOLD. Pros

The people who actually do the are great. In terms of management, if you want to be like a waiter, taking orders and hopping to and fro, this is your company!

Cons

Leadership rules by decree about things they don’t understand, are incurious and make sure blame always rolls downhill. It is a high octane, macho culture where aggression is rewarded. If you want to feel good at the end of the day, not beat up, this is not the place for you.

Pros

What many of the reviewers have said is true: Bold does employ very nice people, offers generous salary and bonuses, and provides a great work/life balance.

Cons

Bold's business model relies on its users not checking their credit card bill for the monthly subscription fee. These users typically are unemployed people who work in lower-paying professions and can scarcely afford it. The way these users are converted to subscribers is sort of a bait-and-switch that should be illegal but isn't. This is what pays for the salary, bonuses, and work/life balance.
