Pros

Ability to make an income, communicate with guests being able to make great tips and a decent

Cons

No benefits, no health insurance no 401K no ability to move your way up the ladder, apparently degrees don’t matter even if it’s in the restaurant field. Horrible management and staff talks down to worker gives them a false reputation. Giving my time and effort to Cho thai literally fully take advantage of in my job duties. As a host had me bussing all plates off servers table with no extra tips and higher pay making me do their work. But now the host don’t have to do that once I stopped hosting moved to expo got yelled at when i did all my duties and more on expo unlike the other expo workers wouldn’t do all their duties and get away with it. Yet I did my duties very well and efficiently especially during a busy peak season yet no respect. I became a server to make more money I love the pay even though it’s still not enough to make a living off of at this job. Everything got better as a server I got a little more respect but then a lot of drama was going on and instead of getting an appreciation for my hard work as a server I was put down and told I didn’t do things I did or given ugly looks by management. They also try to find something wrong with the way I did my job and intentionally point out mistake I made right away and hold it against me when 99% of time I did my job effectively. Also let’s talk about cleanliness, I would clean a lot and buss all my tables and pre-buss some of the other servers never did yet when I didn’t have time to pre-bus’s one table because it got so busy one of the servers would call me out on it any chance they got. The gossip at this job about people is unbelievable. I was called standing up for myself was considered inappropriate no what’s inappropriate is the behavior on management was extremely inappropriate yet I’m called out as being extremely unprofessional. I’m very professional and worked for BRG for over a year and I’m out the door for moving on to better and standing my ground. If that is considered extremely unprofessional then wow

Pros

Great coworkers (until they quit from being overworked, underpaid, and under appreciated)

Cons

Company culture encourages inappropriate behavior. Management gives employees the absolute bare minimum to keep them around.
