No seat at the table for women, those of color, or outsiders.

Pros

Smart people, interesting projects, flexible atmosphere, and good benefits (with a few exceptions).

Cons

Executive leadership/key influencers are primarily white males and those that have found their way to BRG via nepotism, which perpetuates group think at the top and limits resources that can be added in understaffed areas. Problem leaders, that have a demonstrated negative impact, are left to continue to lead and even promoted. Ironic when the message from the President is that BRG wants to be different. Many find this environment significantly impacts career potential and overall motivation to invest in the firm.

Pros

Pay an benefits are good, location is great if you live n the east bay.

Cons

No Ethnic diversity at all. I was shocked to see only 3 African American employee, and even less Hispanics. You would think that out of maybe 75-100 employees at the Emeryville office you would see more diversity but that is not the case. Not only that Management is like a High school click. If you are not with the end crowd then you can potentially loose you job if you stand up for yourself. Lots of gossip and disrespect, People tend to do and and say what they want no matter if its border line harassment. Disrespectful attitudes seems to be the norm here which make working here very difficult. Even management will gossip and even lie just to protect folk that part of the "in-crowd". Most days I hate getting up in the morning, and cant wait to leave for the day. I have witness on more than one occasion an Female employee getting picked on to the point that she ran out the office crying her eyes out. No leadership and I would advise to stay away from this place
