Pros

The pro-active planning within the Sales function has created a 'stepping stone' approach to enable talented, customer focussed employees to progress within this global, forward thinking organisation. This has sent a very positive wave through the business and we look forward to attracting the best candidates that Milton Keynes can provide.

Cons

Awareness of the local community of BSI and the nature of their business. we are often perceived as a Public Sector company which has, at times, worked against us when looking to attract quality candidates

BSI Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback to BSI. We are glad that you appreciate the value of our benefits program. BSI seeks to provide benefits that are competitive within the market. BSI continues to seek input from employee so that we can continue to evolve with the ever changing work environment. BSI follows a competitive process to review all KPIs within the strategic plan, the annual budget process and during individual objective setting. All employees have the opportunity to raise their concerns during these processes. There have been several recent leadership changes at BSI. We believe these changes reflect the new direction leadership is taking among the BSI USA team. Additionally, several individuals have been promoted within the organization. Turnover is a global KPI which is regularly monitored. The organization has reduced turnover by 2% in recent years.

Pros

- It has been a great experience working with the testing engineers at the Laboratories which has not only increased my knowledge of the services we are able to offer and how the testing is conducted, but has also improved the working relationship between Kitemark court, Loughborough and Hemel Hempstead. - Fast-paced and competitive environment and working with a team that are hungry for success - Being given the opportunity to progress and grow in order to achieve career aspirations and learn more about the wider business - Great benefits package including high number of holidays and pension scheme

Cons

- Communication is not always as strong as it should be between functions and within department. Need to ensure that everyone is signing off the same hymn sheet. - Forward thinking and planning is sometimes not at its best - need to think ahead of the game and be proactive rather than reactive
