Pros

All health care essentially paid for, also, competitive 401k plan. In general, the facilities are quite nice. Some equipment is fairly old/hand-me-downs but in general, the company keeps them running at an acceptable level.

Cons

Horrible management, the top directors are absolute idiots with zero leadership or social skills. Awful work atmosphere; there is a serious disconnect between workers and management. In addition, every department is segmented and do not work well together; they are quick to assign blame onto other people/departments. Even within departments, there is a divide between the younger workers and the older technicians. In general, I found the majority of workers here to be extremely immature, regardless of their age. It felt like I was back in high school, with cliques and the ensuing attitudes. Everything is traced back to the parent company at Switzerland, which makes logistics difficult.

Pros

Pretty resilient Swiss company as far as the extremely volatile pharmaceutical industry can go. They have fair to generous compensation and the benefits include med, vision, and dental, and vacation/sick/personal time. Working here can be extremely stressful and demanding both mentally and physically. The seriousness of the work has made me able to cope with stress easier and has improved my patience greatly.

Cons

Overtime is expected. You cannot schedule anything outside of work without work at least attempting to muck up your plans. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU ARE AT ALL CONCERNED WITH CHEMICAL EXPOSURES. I have gone home on occasion unable to see straight from overworking, dehydration, chemical exposure, and the extreme meticulous details of paperwork and FDA regulations that are involved in a cGMP lab environment making and testing pharmaceuticals. Also Switzerland is now your home country once you start working here because Switzerland calls all the shots. Switzerland is revered above all. HAIL SWITZERLAND!
