Lack of training and micromanaging will sink this ship

Pros

Everyone is pretty friendly. The pay is fair and the benefits are pretty good compared to companies of the same size. They are family oriented and the work/life balance is definitely there. Their lunch room is very nice and the food is pretty good.

Cons

Upper management micromanages to the point where you actually never hear from your supervisor because the senior manager doesn't let them speak for themselves. I was there for close to 7 mos and only had 1-2 weeks of training at the most. The current trainer would always say, "no one told me to train you!" Ummm isn't that your job? I'm new I obviously need training!

Pros

I have been allowed to take my business in the direction that I believe we will be the most successful, without the "boss" constant looking over my shoulder. Pay is good and the opportunities to grow is available to all

Cons

Badger Meter is the leader in Utilities markets and seems to set back and enjoy their accomplishments in these markets. We always point to our best accomplishments. We as team need to work together at pulling the other markets in to gain the Leader role in these markets. We need to meet the markets needs in meter design and function. Development in new and updated products is a continue effort at Badger Meter but, takes too long.
