Pros

I came to Badger Meter for the culture. Coming from a company that had a very poor culture, this was the most important thing for me and I did a lot of homework on the company before accepting the position. What I found when I got here was a strong leadership team with clear goals and a culture that values people. Badger Meter is growing and it's very exciting to be part of these changes. To know that what we bring to the market makes a difference in people's lives and our planet overall makes me feel like I'm contributing to something great, something positive. To see the emphasis HR leadership puts on the employee experience is encouraging that the company knows people are important. There are a lot of programs available, a lot of learning, and a lot of opportunity for growth and development. This company has strong values and they stand by them!

Cons

Job market is tough...hard to recruit talent these days to join the many teams working on key deliverables.

A Good, Stable Company

Pros

Badger Meter may not be the "it" company that someone in software development thinks of but I encourage those thinking otherwise to check them out. Very stable company, successful throughout the pandemic and investing heavily in building their software platform. A good place to work. Management does care about its employees; managers are accessible and responsive; company continues to acquire other businesses in the water space for future growth.

Cons

Remote employees may not have access to some of the perks of the in office employees like the cafeteria, onsite fitness center, etc. Pace is quick; there is no sitting on your hands.
