Pros

There really are no pros to speak of.....seriously!

Cons

Management uses fear and intimidation to "motivate" employees. Pay here is lower than ANY other college in the mid-west. Mandatory 65-70 hour workweek. The environment is tense, negative, and extremely toxic. Constant lay-offs. Constantly firing people who are not "yes-men" and constants threats to pass you over for an annual raise if you do not do what you are told and keep your mouth shut. DO SOME RESEARCH - THIS COLLEGE HAS LOST NEARLY 50% OF ITS STUDENTS OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS! The dress code is ridiculous. They expect you to dress better than a news anchor but they do not pay you enough to afford dry cleaning. They will not let you take your vacation days so they mean nothing. The people "at the top" are incompetent. They should not be in education. They are bankers and business people who only care about money and control. Nepotism is evident - if you are related to a high-level employee, you can become a president without ANY experience in higher education. Yes, it is true. Do some checking. You will find this is absolutely true. You can also become a dean without any experience - just out of college. You do not want to work here! It will have a significant negative impact on you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and eventually, physically.
