      A company that transformed from " Employees are family" to a pure " Employees are toilet paper - use and throw"!

      This would have been filled by many lines- pre BHGE. None since then!

      Cons

      Great company pre-BHGE. Present Day - Employees are treated as toilet paper! They laid off thousands with the onset of pandemic and most of them were over the age of 50. Many of them are jobless still! Not only did they throw away expertise, they destroyed families! If you want a career and stability, stay away from this company!

      Pros

      Good opportunities for advancement with great pay and benefits. Lots of good people and if you have a technical question there is probably someone within the company that can help quickly.

      Cons

      Oil Industry up and downs. The acquisition from GE hurt with several bad decisions. Lost confidence with upper management to make the right choices moving forward within 2020 and beyond.

      It seems the GE culture is much more relaxed and superior to legacy Baker Hughes. I can only comment on Oilfield Services. My assumption is the VPs are under a lot of pressure because of their boss. Right now the culture is extremely stressful. Apparently Baker Hughes is a great place to work, however I do not see it. It is completely dependent on who you n1 and n2 manager are. Do a lot of careful research before you take a job.
