Grow fast or don't stay long

Pros

Competitive environment and clients, high-skilled colleagues. Very good place to actually learn a lot through intensive practice. If you are lucky, you will be exposed to the top-tier transactions and great clients.

Cons

Forget about meaningful management, sometimes - your work/life balance will be really bad, and career growth will really depend on who you work with and what the overall market conditions are. Compensation - not very competitive.

Pretty ok

Pros

Collegiate environment and people are generally nice Doesn't place a premium on face time

Cons

Work is seldom cutting edge Pay is close to local firms' and far away from offshore firms Doubt quality of work as they use junior lawyers trainees and even paralegals to do work with scant supervision to keep costs low. Very lean team
