Pros

It's in Boulder. Nice people, interesting projects. Pay and benefits are okay. Flexible hours. Rocky Mountains. Campus atmosphere allows some outdoor time.

Cons

Horrendous management. Only wins in last five years are for projects that will never be funded. People leaving in droves. Financial management is non existent. No competence at CFO position. New tool BART is a pile of dog doo. Bringing the company to its knees

Great if you're a man who retired from the military. Not if you're a woman or you want a contemporary work environment.

Pros

When I started working for the company, there were lots of opportunities and an atmosphere that encouraged growth, so those things are possible under the right manager. For men who've retired from the military who want a quasi - military atmosphere, they seem very happy at Ball.

Cons

If you're a woman or you want to work in a post 1970s environment, keep looking. Sexism is rampant. The levels of bureaucracy are crippling, except for a chosen few who seem to be able to do what they want. The most creative and savvy people eventually leave. HR exists only to serve senior management.

Pros

Ball stock and 401k match program is great.

Cons

Ball is not a cooperative company at least not in the supply chain. Mgt is very closed minded and not open to new concepts or ideas they do not listen to their customers its a very click oriented company.
