Pros

The work is good, the coworkers are excellent, the work itself is exciting and important, you feel valued by your team. It's a steady environment with good benefits, good location.

Cons

The salary is low. The salary is really, really, unforgivably low. HR doesn't reply to any concerns - location, offices, workload, hours, salary. You take what you're given. There isn't any specific advancement you can make, either, so you're stuck where you start.

There are some great people that work there . . . well, at least there used to be. A lot of the best employees have left in the past few years. Ball Aerospace has had some great, innovative successes in the past.

Cons

My workload was insane. The top performers have to pull the weight for the less than optimal. Many employees have been there for 10, 20, and even 30+ years and are stuck there since they have let there skills become outdated and don’t have any other relevant experience. Some of these employees have been promoted to management because they are “loyal” and they don’t have skills/knowledge to do anything else. They are unhappy and do the minimum to get by and therefore don’t hold their direct reports accountable either. Management is a big problem, but so is the overall company senior leadership. There is a lack of direction, bad decisions and no accountability. It’s sad because this used to be a great company to work for. There have recently been numerous layoffs and budget cuts because they cannot seem to win the contracts.
