Pros

Bambee's mission of supporting small businesses is what keeps tenured staff around. They boast that so many people can be promoted multiple times within a year, which is technically true, but employees do leave as quickly as they are promoted. Benefits are okay, not terrible, but not above and beyond anything you already see in the tech industry. You will work with some of the greatest people who are a very diverse bunch.

Cons

It's an in office first culture, and the CEO is very adamant about it to the point where he won't even answer questions about it during company town halls. That's fine, but makes it more difficult to recruit actual HR talent into the HR Account Manager Position. The area of downtown we are in is super sketchy and definitely makes you feel unsafe when walking back to your car. Your base pay is awful, especially for HAVING to come into the office every day. Considering the amount of HR expertise they want their staff to have, the compensation is super low. They boast bonuses, that can be near impossible to earn. In the HR Services division, more than half of the team has less than 1 year of tenure. There is next to no training, and everything you do learn is on the job. You're thrown in, almost immediately and end up spending on average 6 hours per day on the phone. There is a "manager" who spends their time stalking everyone's calendars and removing any administrative time you need to catch up, so that you can spend more time on the phones. This "manager" and the rest of the "managers" have ZERO HR experience and do nothing to change that. They're not very useful and are certainly not true leaders. They NEVER jump in or try to help out when HRMs are drowning (which is a constant) Our "Compliance Team" is a joke and has never consisted of more than 3 people TOPS. Currently, there is only 1 compliance person trying to keep up with ALL changes across the country, create policies for clients, and aid in training. Any changes in legislature also go through "Compliance", but there is no attorney reviewing anything that is being created to ensure its validity before cascading out to all of the clients. The ONLY tenured staff is remote and was hired during the pandemic. They are basically the only other HR professionals you can go to for questions since Bambee offers next to zero HR training or HR growth opportunities. Whenever you raise the question about offering more HR trainings, they hide behind "We're a tech company that happens to provide an HR product", but then also call the HR Managers the "product" as well. If HR Managers are also part of the product being sold, why are zero dollars being spent to ensure that they are continuing their HR knowledge and expertise. The leader of the division, the CCO has made comments during team meetings to the extent of "if you're not running around like a chicken with their head cut off, you're not doing enough". If that's not bad enough, they KNOW that employees are feeling 10/10 awful because everyone is being overworked for weeks or months on end without a break. Recently, it has gone down to a 7/10 and apparently, that means everything is okay. There is no real leadership - not a manager, director, or above. No one does anything to develop their staff and weekly check ins are a joke. No "leader" has any TRUE HR experience and quite frankly do not care whether the HR Managers are giving sound or even correct/compliant advice. They offer "unlimited" PTO, but any HR Manager who takes time off is always negatively impacted because the company still hasn't figured out how to properly provide coverage for anyone to feel comfortable taking time off without working themselves to death upon their return from vacation. If you're not a "yes person" then you won't go very far.

Pros

Any job I have had, I have woken up and dreaded going to work. It is not like that whatsoever here for me. Look forward to coming in and working with my team High ceiling for commission Amazing coworkers and culture Great perks and health benefits If you perform well, you are able to be incredibly independent

Cons

Some umbrella changes have been confusing/ or not worked. In the past there were some communication issues between management and account executive team, has improved a ton.

Pros

I truly enjoy coming into work everyday; the management team and all my colleagues make Bambee a great place to be. The pay is really great for those who are willing to put in the work. There is a ton of opportunity for growth and development. My work is actually fulfilling; everyday I'm helping and empowering small business owners with a product that I truly believe in.

Cons

You have to be willing to put in the work; this isn't a regular 9-5. You also have to be willing to adapt as processes change often, which is typical of start ups in general. I don't necessarily consider these cons, but 100% something to be mindful of.
