Pros

The hire the best of the best there. Probably some of the coolest sales people I have ever worked with are there. Everyone wants to help! The VP of Sales is one of the best leaders I have ever met. He is an example of ownership and accountability.

Cons

The compensation plan is super confusing. They don't believe in commission so you receive a base only. The issue with that is during the recruiting process they are not clear about what the compensation actually is. They start at 50k a year and tell you within six months you can be making high five figures, but that is not the case. Only a fraction of the Account Executives make over six figures. There pay is so below the market standard. Majority of companies offer the same base with commission or bonuses. The only other con is early into my time there, I was placed on a team with a manager that believed in fear tactics. No matter if I was crushing quota or hitting all of my KPIs, I was threatened a performance plan or to be fired. This caused a level of stress and anxiety that is not necessary. Half of the team has now left due to this manager.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Being real about what you're experiencing is the only way that we can continue to grow and get better, so we appreciate it! (And we have to agree - the Bambooligans we’re able to work with truly are top-notch! Thanks for calling that out. :)) There is a lot of thought and research that goes into our compensation structures. We agree that it sounds like there’s a need for more clarity in this area. We are working on it! Thanks for your patience with us. At the same time, please know that no manager is purposefully trying to create fear tactics. We recognize that we’re all human, and there will absolutely be training opportunities from time to time. We are most definitely taking advantage of those opportunities and will continue to provide training ongoing. Again, we appreciate your patience! We hope you’re talking about these concerns with the right people and that you’re being patient with them as well. At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to do our best as we learn and grow together. Thanks for being part of the journey!

Pros

The product is great and so are the people. There’s a gas station close I guess. That’s a nice way to take a 5 minute break.

Cons

Culture is clock in/clock out. Mentality is that you come in, work your 40 hours and leave. If you come in late, expect to stay late. Good news for sales is that on the last day of the month on a Friday and you’re over your number- you get to go home early. Assuming you got your 8 hours in for the day that is. Bamboo gets you to work harder without all the perks. Management has convinced employees that other companies who offer fun perks, expect you to work more than 40 hours/week. That’s not the case. Sales floor is a call center with monthly quotas, several pep talks and constant feedback.

Pros

People are nice, act genuinely happy. Good people around you. Paid paid vacation was honestly the main pro there.

Cons

Broken promises. Delusional happiness. Politics everywhere. Cliquest environment company. Don't expect progression from within until they've spent every effort on exterior candidates, especially in sales. SDR, where do I begin: don't expect good Pay, don't expect a promotion, you literally have to beg and annoy. It literally is the arm pit of the company. Everyone talks in silence about all the changes that need to be made but afraid to speak up because absolutely nothing gets fixed, it's in one ear and out the other. Again delusional perceptions from those in management and higher ups that are not how the employees feel.
