Pros

Non profit with a focus on care of the individuals it serves. Some companies care more about the bottom line and neither the staff or individuals. Bancroft cares about it's individual's.

Cons

While Bancroft has a good focus on it's individuals, it doesn't have that same focus on staff satisfaction.

Pros

Bancroft has a great mission and there are many committed passionate people who work there. The pay is decent, they have 401k matching, dental and eye insurance, etc...

Cons

PTO is a benefit if you can take it and not be interrupted by demands from work. Allow people to fully rest and recover on vacation/days off instead of being intrusive and demanding. Colleagues can be adversarial and disrespectful, especially to older co-workers and BIPOC. PTO is not very generous compared to other non-profits. Teams do not always play well together. Very hierarchical with some senior executives refusing to answer you unless your boss follows up which is frustrating.
