-The pay is very low and below average compared to other banks. You can make the same or maybe more at restaurants.
-Unwillingness to give employee raises. You would need to work for many years before that happens. If you do get a raise, it is very little.
-The work culture is still very Korean despite it being a Korean American bank. Although, there are non-Koreans who work there, the majority of the employees prefer to speak Korean over English. For those that are not familiar with Korean culture or don't know how to speak Korean, chances are you will feel very isolated and frustrated when communicating with other employees/ customers. This prevents effective communication.
- Disorganized and lack of training- The merge has left the bank disorganized and unclear of the exact bank procedures and who does what. Managers do not spend enough time training employees and taking time for themselves to be clear on the new procedures. People do not seem to know what they are doing or who to talk to.
-Stagnant and lack of growth- people seem unwilling to change and grow.
