Pros

Bankers has some of the best hands on training with some of the best trainers. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement within the company along with plenty of opportunities for bonuses and paid work trips.

Cons

There is no PTO, there are no benefits or health insurance options unless you are a UFT or hire in management.

Pros

1. Competitive commissions, bonus structure, and asset payout 2. Good sales process and platform 3. Great place to cut your teeth in financial services 4. If you have the entrepreneur mindset and desire to build a business, Bankers provides a good platform to do so

Cons

1. There is no base salary 2. Quality and depth of training vary greatly branch to branch 3. Benefits for contractors are lackluster 4. Even though there are no set hours, you will have to put extra hours in and work hard to be successful

Pros

I see all the negative previous agent reviews. I have been working for Bankers Life for 12 years now and have helped numerous people along the way. The career isn't for everybody, otherwise we wouldn't be hiring. But for those that have the drive to be successful and are willing to do more today to have more than most tomorrow it works well. I am a rags to riches story being at Bankers Life and there are many like me. If you want to make over $100,000 per year (year after year) it can be done here and is done by many, but if you don't want to put the time in to be successful, you will not be a good fit. The negative reviews I see from previous agents/employees, I believe, are from the ones that didn't want to work hard to achieve the high income and free trips, etc. They heard that they could make a lot of money, but forgot that they would have to work hard for it. I just came back from my 3rd all inclusive trip to Cancun on Bankers Life dime. I didn't really know anything about insurance when I came to Bankers Life. I was three months behind on my mortgage and now 12 years later. I have more than I could have imagined back then. I am grateful for what Bankers Life offered me and I did not take it for granted.

Cons

Long hours at times, but remember, you don't have to work them.
