      You get to work on some of the cutting edge research projects that will impact the lives of many down the line

      Not a lot of opportunities to grow and advance in your career and pay is less than the market average

      Terrible HR policies, dieing network and loosing talent

      Pros

      There are some good people that work in the departments and benefits are about average.

      Cons

      work-life balance is terrible, work on average 50 hours a week on a relatively low salary for the type of job / work I do due to bad HR policies that don't allow pay increase. 4 yr college degree plus additional certifications... Have a terrible manager that HR won't do anything until everyone starts quitting. Benefits used to be a huge pro, that is no longer the case.

      Banner is a good company, but the department I worked in was very unorganized with incompetent management.

      Pros

      The pay is pretty competitive. They didn't start me out at the bottom of the pay scale, which was nice.

      Cons

      The one-year transfer policy needs to be changed. It is impossible to transfer to another position unless you have been in your current position for at least one year. Supervision was lacking (at least on the shift I worked.) There was total anarchy. People would disappear for hours at a time with no repercussions. Some of these very people, in fact, were promoted to lead positions! What a joke! The people who worked hardest were treated badly. They don't seem to like you if you are educated and have experience.
