      Department was Great, Upper Management is Clueless

      Pros

      I worked in a very close niche department, it made the time go by quickly, and there was a lot of opportunity to learn, and grow.

      Cons

      There a lot of upper management issues. HR is blind to all the overtime issues. There so much work that needs to be done but Banner can't seem to keep good employees. Every time someone smart comes around they just leave because of all the politics in this big healthcare network. These are abnormal politics, that no other company I have worked with has.

      The benefits are what keeps the employees

      Cons

      Little regard for education. Management is uneducated. No raises for employees who obtain advanced degrees. HR and recruiting is a joke- nearly impossible for excellent employees to advance. It's easier to switch companies to get a promotion than to get promoted from within.

      Cutthroat and Inexperienced administration

      Pros

      The staff, peers, and quality physicians. A good place to work of you are not in a management position.

      Cons

      There is all new administration, and they are extremely inexperienced. It's shows through and through in regards to how the CEO and CNO treat people. They lead by fear and intimidation. The pay is low and of they want you gone, you are gone. There is little support and absolutely no mentoring. Management is spread thin and ineffective.
