The one-year transfer policy needs to be changed. It is impossible to transfer to another position unless you have been in your current position for at least one year. Supervision was lacking (at least on the shift I worked.) There was total anarchy. People would disappear for hours at a time with no repercussions. Some of these very people, in fact, were promoted to lead positions! What a joke! The people who worked hardest were treated badly. They don't seem to like you if you are educated and have experience.

Because they own so much of the medical field in AZ, they get to set the wages. Unfortunately, they don't pay as well as other hospital systems and if you transfer from one hospital/floor/department to another and remain a "floor nurse" it's considered a lateral transfer and your pay remains the same.
