Pros

Banner offers great dental plans however employees contribute over 60% of the monthly premium. The majority of the employees are friendly and helpful.

Cons

Banner has the worse leadership I have experienced in my 27 years of working in healthcare. They micromanage employees to the point of making employees feel to be incompetent, unappreciated and defeated in the workplace. Politics is at the helm of job promotion as its not how well you know and can perform the job but who you know and how they well they like you. Most employers welcome employees holding each other accountable by going through the proper channels of leadership, however accountability is based on favor and popularity, if you are favored or a friend/family member of leadership are protected and receive a free pass by not being held accountable. Those who attempt to hold the protected accountable find themselves in a corrective action plan for the least infraction. Those who attempt to resolve leadership issues through HR often become victims of leadership retaliation. Communication is practically nonexistent, only a select few are kept informed with the majority of staff learning of process changes through the department grapevine.
