Pros

Benefits are great. When I left for a short time, I was excited to get back because of their great health benefits, PTO, 401K, etc.

Cons

I found that you have to be very motivated to progress your career. I got very little career coaching or support in advancing my knowledge, skill, education. (ie: reimbursement, certification, etc). Sure, they wanted you to have all of the above but they didn't want to help you get there. And I also think at times, because Banner was so large, the front line employees sometimes got lost. Even though a new change might not be beneficial for the end user, the upper management didn't necessarily care or know that it was the best thing for the institution.

Pros

The benefits, compensation as well as the pto are very good.

Cons

On occasion you might become micromanaged which is a pain in the neck, especially when you know how to do your job without guidance or supervision.

Pros

The benefits package is a good one. Unfortunately they are unfair in how much their employees have to pay into it depending on whether they work at a clinic or at a hospital. A CNA working at a clinic can barely afford benefits. On the other hand as an RN the price is reasonable for what you get and is comparable to other local institutions.

Cons

Management overbearing. They do not listen to the staff and are missing from the frontline of patient care. Managers are allowed to get away with too much and their is no reckoning to the people who actually perform patient care. There needs to be some type of manager evaluation that is done by the staff other than Gallup polls.
