Pros

Pay and benefits, work independently for the most part. Set your own schedule

Cons

High workload and stress level. Usually one person is assigned to multiple units. You can request your own schedule but supervisor has the final say and the approved schedule rarely ends up being what you requested. On weekends one staff is assigned to all pediatric units. Phone does not stop ringing. At the same time, Poor communication across the board. Medical staff can be bullies.
